St Peter’s School

Helping every child to flourish

Positive, Caring, Inclusive

Year 6

This week, Year 6 have been working incredibly hard on their end of year production! We are starting to think about costumes and Miss Tucker will be sending an email with ideas for costumes, which will also be uploaded to this page.

Our Make £5 Grow project will look a bit different this year but we are excited about taking on the challenge of setting it up online. Tomorrow we will be creating promotional videos for the rest of the school to watch. From this, children and adults can order products. This will be quite some undertaking but Year 6 are ready and excited to take on the challenge!

We spent Wednesday afternoon at Westminster Lodge where we had our first ever go at high jump and long jump. Great fun was had by all!

Year 6 have had a very busy start to their final half term at St Peter's!

Production rehearsals are in full swing and the children are working exceptionally hard to learn their lines and songs: you are in for a treat on the 5th and 6th of July.

We have also started our secondary school transition work and this week we have explored the similarities and differences between primary and secondary. We also discussed things we were excited and worried about, before finding solutions and supporting each other. Next week we will be learning all about what a day in secondary school looks like, including how to navigate a timetable!

Yesterday afternoon, we visited Westminster Lodge track with Year 5 to practise our throwing and running. Great fun was had by all and we are looking forward to returning next week.

Welcome back to the Summer Term!
